Black Mold

Today has sort of been "Kennan and Alaina's no good horrible very bad day". Which is okay, because it was just junk that broke, or we found, or realizing we still have boxes in our house...

We spent an hour cleaning black mold out of our windowsills. It wasn't there when we got here. Basically, it is cold outside, the windows are placed on the outside of the wall, we turn the heater on, the condensation gets on the windows, and black mold is created because our house doesn't breathe in a healthy way. So...we're not sure what to do because black mold is DISGUSTING and we don't want to keep dealing with it, but we don't want harsh chemicals to be in our systems to kill it, but our house will in fact keep producing it.

It is a lot like life really. There are places that we try to hide, but they keep growing. They turn disgusting, and somebody has to help us clean them out. Sometimes repeatedly. Again and again. We think they are gone, and then there is more underneath some stupid crack. Or winter comes again and things return to places that they shouldn't. I am thankful for redemption - thankful that people love me in spite of black mold.

Sounds like your house isn't ventilating properly. Get a dehumidifier for all that condensation that is collecting in your windowsills.
