Thoughts on Speech

One of my friends from Alaska has a cousin who lives in Djibouti. She has recently written some excellent, thought-provoking posts on the recent events in Libya and around the world. She comes from a place of living in the eastern world, surrounded by Muslim friends and neighbors. Because of this, her perspective is insightful and helpful instead of what we are often hearing on the news.

I highly encourage anyone to read her posts because she is an insider and we are outsiders. As citizens of the United States we need to learn and listen instead of yell and accuse. With her, I agree that violence and murder are never, never, never the answer.  However, her posts help me to understand the 'whys' of what has happened in the last week and a half in a much different light.
