Markers in Time

The leaves are falling.

The air has a large chill overnight.

The farmer's market is ending.

It is moose hunting season.

Time has shifted, ever so subtly, into fall.

The world is slowly getting dark again, something I do not look forward to.

Long sleeves are now the only option.

Pumpkin doughnuts are now back in style.

School has begun.

With school comes difficulty. With school comes beauty. With school comes late nights and worry. With school comes hope. With school comes phone calls, text messages, he said-she said, love, life, discussion, conflict, rejoicing, breathing, remembering.

God is good. All the time. Even when life isn't.

"The Lord your God is with you, God is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

So be it, Lord. So be it.
