For Dad: Snow Pictures

If you are not my dad or you have never been to Homer you might now care about these pictures. But I'm going to explain them because my dad asked me to post pictures of our recent 5 week long snow invasion. 

My parents were here at Christmastime. There was no snow at all. While they were here we probably got around 8 inches. The next week we got a foot of snow overnight and then at least 6 more inches the next day. Then we had a clear week. And then the last 2 weeks happened. We've gotten another couple of feet and my dad wanted pictures. I really don't think the pictures actually do the snow any justice, but well, here it is.

This is the front of our apartment building. The pile on the left is mostly untouched snow. There is extra snow from shoveling the steps, but otherwise that's how much snow.

 Here are some cars in the back of our parking lot that haven't moved since the snow started.

 Driving down the road - huge berms on the side. They truck most of the snow out of town/off the side of the road but there isn't any more room. So the snow is piling up.

 There's almost nowhere for it to go anymore...

 This is the place at the top of the hill with the Homer, Alaska: Halibut Fishing Capital of the world sign. You can't even get in the driveway - the entire thing is covered with snow this deep.

 That is Fat Olive up on the right. You literally can't see it from the road.

 And this is Homer Head Start with huge icicles, which I thought were cool.

Snow, snow, snow!
