No School?

A crazy thing is happening today...North Park has cancelled classes because of severe flooding on campus. Because of rain topping 6 inches in one day, the North Branch of the Chicago river has flooded several sections of the campus. 2 different dorms were evacuated and students are sleeping in the recreation center. It really is surreal.

If you have ever been on campus, you know Foster Avenue. Pieces of it are completely and totally underwater near campus.

It is a very odd feeling to think that school is cancelled - and it doesn't have anything to do with snow. There is also a lot of damage - so North Park is going to be a financially hurting place for awhile.

And a whole day to do homework - now if only there was something or someone to make sure that actually happened.

Sure have been praying for everyone since I heard about the flooding. And the pictures are CRAZY! Is your place OK? I'm guessing so since you didn't refer to your apartment.
